We have a location!

On November 10, 2025, Maayanot announced a working agreement with Beth El Synagogue to build our new community mikveh on the Beth El campus in St. Louis Park.

Our Site Exploration Committee worked diligently for several years to find the best possible place to build Maayanot. The Committee included volunteer community members from across the Twin Cities who work in the fields of real estate development, architecture, and design. They sought a location on a Jewish campus and explored many options in a wide range of geographic areas.

In deciding where to build this pluralistic community mikveh, the Committee carefully considered the following requirements:

  • Structurally appropriate for a mikveh pool and collection of natural water according to the specifications of a kosher mikveh

  • Accessible to people of all abilities

  • Financially feasible

  • Easy to reach from a variety of locations

  • A modest presence with a private entrance

After an exhaustive search, the Site Committee and our Board of Directors selected the space on Beth El’s campus. It meets all of the requirements, and Beth El’s leadership strongly supports Maayanot’s vision for a community mikveh.

Maayanot will remain an independent, nonprofit organization, serving the entire state of Minnesota and surrounding areas, with tenancy at Beth El. We will renovate an interior space and build an adjacent addition with a separate entrance at the Southwest corner of the building.

Maayanot will launch a capital campaign in early 2026 and hopes to begin construction by Spring of 2027 and open in early 2028.
